An addition to the Epson Stylus D range of home use economy printers is the Stylus D88 Plus printer. With a price of approx £60.00 and cartridges available for for under £8, the D88 emphasises quality printing at low cost.

The D88 has a standard curve edged oblong look with black and silver finish and paper loading in at the top and feeding out at the front bottom of the printer. The paper tray can hold approx 100 sheets of paper. The printer connects to the computer using USB1.1 and takes four cartridges, black, cyan, magenta and yellow.

The D88 plus T0611 cartridges are easy to install, snapping into place under the cover of the cartridge holder. The Epson T0611 make use of Epsons DuraBrite technology which is designed to keep prints looking brighter for longer.

With borderless printing on up to A4 size paper and printing speeds of around 90 seconds for a 6 x 4 inch photograph or around 23 pages per minute for black text, the Stylus D88 Plus is a decent all round printer for everyday home use.
